Dear friends, welcome to this inner journey.
Today, we will explore the topic of "False Discrimination," and "The Process of Our Mind-Moments."
Please relax your body and mind, and allow my voice to guide you into this awareness.
In a single snap of the fingers, there are sixty moments to calculate.
Our mind-moments arise and cease, changing incredibly rapidly.
When our five senses come into contact with their objects, our mind arises right there.
Within the consciousness of our heart, resides the "life-continuum consciousness" from the past.
Because when the five doors—the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and body—touch external objects, they stimulate our "life-continuum consciousness."
This "life-continuum consciousness" then instantly vibrates and jumps into action.
After three moments, the mind turns towards the five doors, making contact with the five sense-consciousnesses.
The mind then accepts, examines, and decides—which is called "attention" or "mental advertence."
Following this, seven moments of "impulsion consciousness" arise to fully comprehend the object.
Then, for two moments, the object is apprehended, before the mind returns to the "life-continuum consciousness."
This is our mental process.
If this decisive mind is "appropriate attention," then it gives rise to a wholesome mental process.
This in turn creates the karmic causes for this present life and future lives.
Appropriate attention means realizing "impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and no-self."
If it is not appropriate attention, then the opposite occurs.
To purify our karma, we should clearly understand that our mind must always have correct and appropriate "attention."
Here, I express my gratitude to you.
May all your endeavors be filled with happiness and completeness.
