Alright, dear listeners, please find a comfortable position. Gently close your eyes, or let your gaze rest softly on a spot in front of you.
Let's bring our attention back to our breath, feeling the flow of each inhale and exhale.
Today, we will explore the theme of "Criticism."
"If you wish to move your body, or utter words, you should first observe your own mind, and act peacefully and mindfully." This is a sincere admonition from Bodhisattva Shantideva to us.
A word of praise and care can make one feel "bathed in the spring breeze," bringing harmony and joy to each other.
Yet, a word of criticism or slander can make one feel "heart-wrenching grief and indignation," causing resentment, turning friends into foes, and leading to abandonment by all.
People who lack self-confidence tend to use confrontation and resistance to create a barrier between themselves and the world.
Confident individuals are able to know themselves, including their strengths and weaknesses, and can also tolerate the strengths and weaknesses of others.
And those who can truly face and understand themselves, their words are surely sincere, and their actions are open and honorable.
May we all be individuals who are brave enough to face ourselves.
Here, I thank you, and I pray for your utmost happiness and fulfillment!
